My take on fairness creams

Fairness creams and treatments are not new to the Indians. There was a time when the only fairness cream known to me was Fair and Lovely but now a variety of fairness creams have flooded the market, and what came along with this flood were controversies.

The idea of Body positivity came as a storm and I, for one support it completely. Actresses like Kangana Ranaut even declined the proposal of starring in an fairness cream commercial so that women of India would love the unique colour of skin they possess and have confidence in that instead of feeling lifetime guilt and trying to change who they are.

So, are fairness creams not to be used ? Well I wouldn't say that. I too, occasionally use fairness creams but that is just when I get too tanned in this hot summer that Indian climate has. Some creams actually can be very good daily moisturizing creams, providing SPF and also make your skin healthy which just help impart the natural glow that your skin might already possess.

I, as a beauty blogger would just suggest fairness creams brands to stop advertising dusky complexion as dirty or ugly and it would just be better if they wouldn't advertise their creams as whitening or fairness creams instead as a natural glow enhancer or skin nourishing creams.

I often mention on my blog that I'm a dusky complexioned person and I want you all to know that I take pride in that and you all should also take pride in whatever skin tone you have.

Stay happy, stay beautiful. :) :*

Which BB/CC Cream I Prefer ?

Hello everyone ! I know BB and CC creams are different but that's what a beauty guru would say. on the other hand, I'll just say that they just seem the same to me. ;D

Okay, so there are a lot of BB and CC creams out there from Maybelline Clear Glow BB cream, L'Oreal Paris True Match BB Cream and Colorbar Perfect Match BB Cream to Pond's, Lakme and Garnier. And my point being, that its Ok to get confused. Which of course you are if you are reading this post.

Now before you read any further, let me remind you that everyone has  different skin types and it's not necessary that what suits me will suit your skin too. This is just my opinion and I'm not putting any brand above any other.

Okay so let's get started !

First starting with why a cream why not foundation  ? Well, I'm a college going girl and I like doing makeup without it being too obvious. BB/CC Creams are better than foundation in that sense.

Now I tried a lot of creams then I finally landed on Lakme CC cream which I absolutely adore. It's almost as if I can't go without it. What I love about it is that it's not too pricey (275/-) so it fits in my budget. Also, It comes in 2 shades, I use bronze because I have a wheatish complexion.

That's it, I said it ! Lakme CC cream is the winner for me. I wish you all the best and I hope that you find your winner too :* ;)
